When you happen to be the highest profile professional athlete in the NBA, if not the entire United States, you tend to get what you want if you make your request public. LeBron James certainly got his wish with the release of Kendrick Lamar’s “untitled unmastered,” a follow-up to his “To Pimp a Butterfly” album, hitting Spotify on Thursday night.
All it took was one tweet to the CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment, Anthony Tiffith, to make it happen.
Yo @dangerookipawaa after that @kendricklamar Grammy performance , you have to release those untitled tracks asap!!! What's up? Talk to me

As you can see from the tweet, LeBron was a fan of the performance given by Lamar at the Grammys recently, and he just had to have more from the artist. Tiffith responded, posting on his Instagram page that the request has been heard and the unreleased tracks would be released later in the day, which they eventually were.
James tweeted his appreciation of the new material, referring to the second track on the release.
Blue Faces! @kendricklamar @dangerookipawaa #UntitledUnmastered

Now that we know this trick works, how can we convince LeBron to tweet at McDonald’s to have them make the McRib a permanent item on the value menu? What else would you like to see LeBron make a request for? Feel free to drop your LeBron wish list in the comment section below.
