Derek Jeter’s retirement tour through baseball was slightly nauseating because every team had to give him gifts before his last game at their stadium. Kobe Bryant thankfully asked for teams not to do that for him on his retirement tour. At least until now, that was because he didn’t want to distract from the games at hand.
Lasting legacy.

That is the Jordan company gifting Kobe with every Jordan shoe from 1 to 30, including numbers III and VIII in purple and gold, which was worn by Kobe in 2002 and 2003.
“The Jordan Brand is about more than basketball, it’s about leaving a legacy and honoring those who have left a legacy,” Jordan Brand President Larry Miller said. “Tonight the brand was able to honor one of the games great players and the legacy he created.”
Now, it seems that Kobe won’t be getting any gifts from teams on the Lakers travels the rest of the way because there isn’t a way for any team to top this gift. Kobe is going out on top in more ways than one.
