With gun violence continuing to be a hot button topic in the United States, the NBA will hope to raise awareness of gun violence when it takes over the airwaves on Christmas.
A public service announcement from Everytown for Gun Safety said to run during the NBA’s Christmas games will feature NBA stars Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Carmelo Anthony and Joakim Noah along with those who have been affected in one way or another by gun violence. You can see the PSA below.
Word of the PSA is already spreading and gaining recognition.
Thanks @nba @CP3 @StephenCurry30 for taking a stand against gun violence #ProtectOurChildren https://t.co/CwPKTJnOce

Of course, because this has to do with guns, not everybody is quite on board for one political reason or another.
To recap today in Twitter, NBA players are hoping we can eliminate gun violence … and this isn't meeting with unanimous approval?

Oh, politics.
In addition to the brief promo scheduled to run on Christmas, each NBA player appearing in the PSA has an extended video available for viewing discussing gun violence.
