GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump says controversial things solely because they’re controversial. Just yesterday for example, he said ‘You’ve got to give him credit,” about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Basically, at this point there’s nothing he would say that you wouldn’t believe he actually said.
At a Trump rally in Reno on Sunday, the topic of the NFL referees somehow came up and Trump, in predictably Trumpian form, said NFL referees throw flags to impress their wives at home and that the league was becoming soft.

Alrighty then.
If Trump doesn’t become POTUS, it seems he’s gunning for the commissioner job in the NFL. He was asked last week if he’d fire current commissioner Roger Goodell, and Trump gave this answer.

Who will Trump go after next? I vote “nobody” so we don’t have to hear from him ever again, but let’s be honest – he won’t be shutting him up any time soon.
