Sportsmanship seems to be a rare thing in professional sports these days. It seems far too often we hear stories like Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones accusing Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown of faking an injury on what appeared to be a vicious, dangerous hit to the head.

Seattle Seahawks defensive showed some serious love for the Minnesota Vikings following the Seahawks 10-9 comeback victory. According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Thomas went into the Vikings locker room following the game and commended the team on their fantastic season.

That’s a great gesture by Thomas. He’s also got a point as the Vikings had a fine season, going 11-5 winning the NFC North. They were one missed field goal away from beating a good Seahawks team and despite the heartache of how the game ended, they don’t have many reasons to hang their heads.

Thomas didn’t have to let them know what he thought, but the gesture is a kind one, and one that shows his true character, and I’m sure both the Seahawks and Vikings organizations appreciate that.
