Here’s some good news for New England Patriots fans (not that they needed it).

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has a bruised knee and is only considered week to week following what appeared to be a devastating injury on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Gronkowski was carted off the field during the Pats 30-24 loss to the Denver on Sunday, injuring his right knee after getting hit low by defensive back Darian Stewart during the fourth quarter. The play looked particularly gruesome, and it seemed Gronkowski would be sidelined for a subtanatial period of time.

The Patriots were already without receivers Aaron Dobson (out for year), Danny Amendola (expected back Week 13), and Julian Edelman (6-8 weeks), while running back Dion Lewis is out for the year. Tom Brady can do a lot without a plethora of offensive weapons, but even by his high standards, losing Gronk for any period of time would have been hard to overcome.

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports Gronkowski will only miss one to two weeks, which is crazy given how serious the injury looked and how bad knee injuries can be. So you may not see a Gronk spike in the next couple weeks, but at least you’ll see them again soon.
