It pretty much goes without saying the sports world will intersect with politics from time to time again, and that certainly escalates when a presidential election is drawing closer and closer. A day after the top Republican candidates took the stage for their most recent debate, Donald Trump remained in the driver’s seat for the GOP ticket despite rising criticism about his campaign and platform. One supporter of Trump, perhaps the most notable from the world of sports, is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Brady took it upon himself to avoid answering questions about his relationship with Trump, cutting his press conference short once one reporter pressed for a comment.

Unlike his head coach earlier in the day, Brady did not exactly leave on a high note with a room full of laughter.
Brady was asked about his appearance on the cover of New York Daily News with a photo of him besides Trump in which the Super Bowl winning quarterback was ripped for refusing to bash Trump.
