Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese have been compared to one another by fans for years now dating back to their collegiate playing days. But on Tuesday, the rookies shared an accomplishment no other player in their draft class was able to do.
Reese has had a significant impact this season for the Sky, particularly as a rebounder where she leads the league in rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark has excelled at both creating her own shot and setting up her teammates in her rookie season, averaging 16.2 points per game along with 6.9 assists, the third most assists per game of any player in the WNBA.
Both have made their statement in the WNBA both on and off the court with their intriguing personalities. And now, both will be representing the WNBA All-Star team later this month when they face off against the U.S. women’s national team in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.

For Clark, it is perhaps not the honor that she was envisioning, as she was highly discussed as a potential candidate to be named to the Olympic team. But still, it is well deserved considering her performance on the year.
Meanwhile, Reese was quite emotional when she heard she was being named to the WNBA All-Star team after her game on Tuesday night, thanking her coaches and teammates for believing in her.
“Well, we won today,” said Reese while tearing up. “But they just told me that I’m an All-Star. I’m just so happy. I know the work I put in. Coming into the league, so many people doubted me and didn’t think my game would translate. But I trusted the process, I believed. I’m thankful that I dropped to 7 and was able to come to Chicago. It’s just a blessing. I can’t thank my teammates and my coaches enough for believing in me and trusting in me. I know all of them are going to come to Phoenix to support me, so I’m really happy.”
